Nanumea: It is a popular northwest atoll of the country. In this area a group of nine islands are situated for a total area of 400 miles in the Pacific Ocean. A small population is living there and that is less than 600 people. The largest village in this area has about 200 persons. There is a junior schools and primary school in this area. Due to small population there isn’t any noise pollution in this area and those tourists which want to spend leisure time at peaceful place, this is the best place for them.
Vaitupu:
It is the biggest Island of the country. Almost 1600 people are living in this Island. People in the Island have a unique life. They are growing their own food and are relying on their own resources. Those people who want to know the culture of these Islands and their distinctive lives must visit this Island. This Island is rich of natural resources. In order to reach out to this place a tourist has to travel on a boat. There is no physical link to this area by road. Though there are paths or unpaved roads but this travel is very dangerous. Fongafale: This Island is 10 kilometers long and it has 400 meters width. There are villages in this Island and there is an Airport as well. This is a good symbol for tourists as there is an airport and they can directly travel to this place without travelling through boats. The Island is best suitable for recreational activities. This Island is at the highest point of Tuvalu so by reaching this Island tourists can watch a lot of beautiful sceneries. Nanumanga: This Island also has a small population of about 500 people. The scenery of this island beautiful. There are coconut and palm trees. The entire island is surrounded by fringing reef. Tourists can enjoy fishing. It is difficult to travel to this Island by road. Tourists may have to travel by boats. The natural beauty of this island is highly admired.
